Wool Pellets

Note: For check out, you’ll be asked to select a Pick Up and Return date.  Please select today’s date at the Pick Up date, and Friday, April 10th as the Return Date. The wool pellets will be available for pick up mid-April, in conjunction with our seedling pick up--just in time to incorporate with new plantings.  We will email you to confirm pick up date.  Please call Neva at 970-508-0674 for any questions. 

In partnership with 4 Corners Worm Farm, HDCD is pleased to offer natural wool pellets for gardening. Made from compressed sheep wool, these pellets provide a sustainable, nutrient-rich soil amendment that acts as a slow-release fertilizer high in nitrogen.

Wool pellets improve soil water retention—holding moisture like a sponge—while adding organic matter and gradually releasing nutrients such as nitrogen, potassium, sulfur, and phosphorus as they break down. Wool pellets are especially beneficial for containers, raised beds, and transplants.

An eco-friendly alternative to synthetic fertilizers, wool pellets support healthy soil and strong plant growth while reducing watering needs.
