Worm Castings

Note: For check out, you’ll be asked to select a Pick Up and Return date.  Please select today’s date at the Pick Up date, and Friday, April 10th as the Return Date. The worm castings will be available for pick up mid-April, in conjunction with our seedling pick up--just in time to incorporate with new plantings.  We will email you to confirm pick up date.  Please call Neva at 970-508-0674 for any questions. 

In partnership with 4 Corners Worm Farm, HDCD now offers premium worm castings in a variety of convenient sizes. Rich in beneficial microbes and nutrients, worm castings help improve soil structure, enhance nutrient availability, and support strong, resilient plant growth.

Not all worm castings are created equal. 4 Corners Worm Farm castings are finely sifted, and free of cocoons or small worms, providing a clean, high-quality soil amendment ready to use in gardens, raised beds, seed starting mixes, and compost teas.

Proper storage and freshness are critical for maintaining the living microbes in worm castings. Because these microbes are alive, castings should be used promptly or stored out of direct sunlight, kept moist, well-aerated, and protected from extreme heat or freezing. Even if some microbial activity is reduced over time, the valuable vitamins, minerals, and trace elements remain, making castings a beneficial soil amendment.
